These are some tips for editing your ads format:
Colors
Match the color of your ads with the color of your website’s content’s text color and match the link color of the ad with your site’s link color.
Create a custom palette for your Google Adsense. Choose color that will go well with the background of your site. If your site has a white background, then use white as the color of your ad border and background. By doing this trick, you’ll make your Adsense look like it is part of the web pages. And this may result to more clicks from people visiting your site.
Placement
Place your ads in positions that your reader will navigate anyway. Text ads that placed at the top or in the center of a website seem to attract most clicks. Especially on websites with much text content.
Combine small pictures with AdSense Ads. People will look to the picture and probably will click your ad, specially if the picture is related with the Ad.
Format
I’ve noticed that the 336×280 large rectangle, the 250×250 square and the 160×600 wide skyscraper have done best on my sites. These are quite big ad formats, of course, so they need lots of space, but if they’re placed well they usually generate more income than the smaller and narrow ad formats.
The best format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). By using this ads format, your ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Google Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.
