It is widely known that animals pick up precursory signs of impending Earthquakes, but what do they know that modern many in our civilization inundated with information seem to have forgotten? Has mankind grown so far from nature that he can no longer feel the same precursory clues of Earthquakes that animals can? We know that the Indian Tribes in Indonesia can, why can’t the rest of the humans on the Planet? Or is it like that old saying; Use it or Lose it? Have we simply lost this skill that all the other species in the Animal Kingdom have?

This subject recently came up in an online think tank and one member stated; “The real question is exactly how do they do it? Birds flock to the sky, pigs, horses and cows break out of their pens and run and snakes have even been witnessed waking from hibernation and moving out.”

Indeed this is fascinating and the Chinese have often predicted Earthquakes by the behavior of animals around them. Smart thinking and yes the Japanese also have studied this and are figuring out ways to help their populations know when Earthquakes will occur as well. Japan has more Earthquakes than any other nation in the World and it makes sense they too would be looking into this and studying it to see what is the best way to use the animals to keep us safe. Consider this in 2006.
