Even though that a lot had been said about democracy, human rights and equality, the issues that still take place in different branches of social life especially in ethnically diverse countries show that discrimination still happens even in democratic societies as Canadian.
Even though that a lot had been said about democracy, human rights and equality, the issues that still take place in different branches of social life especially in ethnically diverse countries show that discrimination still happens even in democratic societies as Canadian. They are been discussed for a long time, they are shown and reflected in mass media and are of a great public concern, but even though the issues of discrimination happen and again prove the unperfectness of the legislature and show the priorities of development of the new laws that would give the most benefit and protection to all the citizens including ethnic minorities.
The reality shows that even minorities with higher level of education and real professional qualifications have the low income and occupy low positions as employees.
Only fifty percent of the foreign born minorities are able to find the job that fully satisfies their professional skills and abilities, in practice this index is even lower.
University educated minorities and aboriginals are less likely to find the job that suits them, than those who are white Canadians and they mostly form the self-employed labor of the country.

This is the department’s “official” line on discrimination: “Employers cannot refuse to hire you because they don’t like your skin colour or your religion. This is discrimination.” But in practice it’s generally observed. Of course in the polite way.
The only way to solve this problem is very complicated and touches all the spheres of social and economic life of the country, but it’s quite obvious that changes should be made not just in legislature regulations of labor relations but in the consciousness of the society which is more complicated and demands a lot of afford.
