No matter what you decide obviously it goes without saying that ease of use and efficiency are the key to successful operations. Recently someone from New Hampshire asked about where to get a good onsite oil and lube unit?
Well I told him; There are several Mobile Oil Change Set-ups you can by, there is a guy North of you in Canada Ehy? This company I think has units for insides of a Ford Econoline for about 12-15K. Someone recently recommended the Melric's Guide as a good source of information too.
Indeed, I have heard some good things about Oil Butler and you should at least buy their video to watch, of course the mobile oil change industry trashes on them verbally a bunch, not sure if that does not include a tinge of jealousy, since they were pretty much first to market? Our company the Oil Change Guys does not sell units so, I cannot offer you anything there on that.
So which unit makes sense to buy then? Well much of this depends on your preferences. And you should also consider weather issues and the elements and possible corrosion and rust on your equipment. Also theft can be a big issue in some areas too.
A Mobile Oil Change business can be challenging, Fixed sites often end up with large investments and of course longer-term risks. All this should be part of your decision process if you are thinking of entering the Mobile Onsite Oil Change Business. Think on this in 2006.
