What child wouldn't want to be surrounded by the magic and fairy dust of the Disney experience? From fun and thrilling rides to exciting stage shows to hugs from your favorite character, Disney World Florida is every little one's dream.

Since the early years, when Walt Disney's dream of a premiere vacation destination for all ages grew out of acres of orange groves in central Florida, Disney World Florida has been delighting vacationers from all around the world. Since its opening in October 1971, this vacation complex has literally welcomed billions, and despite changes in travel preferences, etc., Walt Disney World Florida has suffered little. Most families still tout it as the number one vacation destination and return again and again to experience the magic.
To truly experience Disney World Florida, it's necessary to spend a minimum of a week there. As the resort continues to grow, there is more and more to see. Most visitors will begin with the four theme parks - The Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom.
The quintessential Disney park, the Magic Kingdom is loved by everyone, especially younger children. Here you'll find the traditional Disney-esque rides, like It's a Small World, The Haunted Mansion, and Pirates of the Caribbean. However, thrill ride lovers won't be disappointed as Disney World Florida has added plenty of nail-biting excitement to the Magic Kingdom over the years, with rides like Space Mountain and Thunder Mountain. This is also the place where you'll find the majority of your favorite Disney characters, though it's sometimes hard to catch them for a photo or autograph. The parades here are fun as well as amazing. Don't miss The Main Street Electrical Parade or SpectraVision.
EPCOT, short for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, is a wonderful cultural and education experience for the whole family. Disney World Florida's second park, EPCOT boasts two sections: Future World - which looks to the experiences of tomorrow; and World Showcase - which treats visitors to a look at countries and peoples from around the world.
MGM Studios gives Disney World Florida visitors a look behind the scenes of the movie industry, with such fun rides as the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller Coaster. Don't miss the fascinating Backstage Tour!
The newest of the four parks, Animal Kingdom takes visitors to Africa and the Serengeti Plain. Guests can view animals native to the Dark Continent and enjoy fun rides and entertaining shows featuring native African music.
There's so much more to see than just the four parks, of course. You'll love cooling off on a hot Disney World Florida day at one of two waterparks. DisneyQuest will thrill the kids with fun state-of-the-art games. You can even enjoy the amazing Cirque du Soleil at their permanent home at the resort or take in a round or two of golf at one of the resort's stunning courses.
Proper planning means you'll be able to fit in most of your desired activities. Before you leave, take some time to organize an itinerary that includes everything you hope to see. While itineraries are always subject to change, you'll at least have an idea of what your first priorities will be on your busy vacation to awesome Disney World Florida.
