Are fixed site car washes the new sweat shops in America, as they hire illegal aliens. Often having them show up for work at 8-9 am and not actually putting them onto the clock until the car wash gets busy around noon. Car wash owners are notorious for hiring illegal aliens and then exploiting the crap out of them.
Car wash owners are fully aware that illegal aliens cannot explain when they cheat them out of a third of their days pay or abuse their employment rights. Car wash owners know that illegal aliens will not complain if OSHA laws are violated or if one of them has a minor injury on the job.
Sure car wash owners will claim that no one else wants the job, well that is hokum, you see I have been in the car wash business nearly 25 years, in our companies we never exploited our labor and we never hired illegal aliens. And if I even heard of a franchisee doing so there would be hell to pay.
Why is it that Americans will go to their local car wash each week and not turn them in when they see illegal aliens working there? Why is it that car wash owners can get away with these sweat shops of labor exploitation without worry in broad daylight and no one seems to care or go out of their way to take a stand. Won’t you join me in turning them all in to the authorities when you see these crimes? Consider this in 2006.
