Holding Captured Territory With Minimal Manpower

As Israel crosses into Lebanon many are asking if they go into the country will they stay there as occupiers? Indeed first they must hunt down and kill all the Hezbollah International Terrorists. Since only about three or 400 people have died in the war obviously there are thousands of more Hezbollah left in the country who live to fight another day. Israel must either capture or kill all the terrorists to protect their people.

How is it possible to capture territory and hold the territory with the minimal number of soldiers? Well, let us discuss philosophical theory for one second. If you grid-out the area using Pentagons or hexagons instead of squares you can put two soldiers at each point facing back to back.

Each soldier will look towards the center and a half Moon area with the soldier behind them doing the same. Each of the hexagons or pentagons will be broken in two triangles facing the center of each grid.

If there is movement or a problem in any of the spaces with in those hexagons or pentagons within their line of sight or with in their sphere of influence using surveillance sensors, infrared or night vision then that soldier will report the activity to a nighttime and daytime attack helicopter. This is an easy way to occupied territory. In fact with modern technology you could do this without human beings by placing robots at each one of the points.

Once the sensors go off you could send in helicopter strike teams or robotic UAVs to take out the threat. A combination of robots and soldiers and technology could in fact six-year large areas of southern Beirut in Lebanon. Israel would be smart to do this and we have all the capability with new modern warfare technologies to make it happen. Please consider this in 2006.
