Well now people are dying from Lung Cancer and the death toll could rise as high as 10,000 more people from this. Who are these people who are dying? Oh you know your basic good Samaritan, fireman, construction worker and first responder too. Imagine helping to remove the rubble, rebuild your city from a murderous attack by International Terrorists and doing your job to the best of your ability only to find out now you have critical lung cancer?
Many have already died and many have the WTC World Trade Center “death cough” as they are calling it. What can we do to save them? Well, not much we are learning. Some are now at home on disability and taking a cocktail of drugs to stay alive each day. Common Cold and Allergies only make it worse and more life threatening. Some say all is not lost yet, some of these conditions may not be seen for another 10-15 years or more, but they will occur and they too will be victims of the 911 Attacks by International Terrorists. The list of those with the WTC Cough is growing very fast now.
One group put the potential total at over 30,000 maybe as high as 50,000 since there are 16,000 people already on the books for WTC Cough treatments. The problems seem to be very similar to that of Asbestos Lung Cancer. Unfortunately this news is rather disheartening considering the EPA had cleared the air in the area as breathable. Consider all this in 2006.
