The Toyota Avalon took the place and kept the spot left vacant by the Toyota Cressida when the Toyota Cressida’s production was halted back in 1992. This vehicle has been manufactured in only one body style which is a sedan and this vehicle holds four doors.

From the year 1995 up until the present, the Toyota Motor Company has been continuously manufacturing and producing a full size vehicle that is marketed by the company as the Toyota Avalon. This vehicle actually took the place and kept the spot left vacant by the Toyota Cressida when the Toyota Cressida’s production was halted back in 1992. This vehicle has been manufactured in only one body style which is a sedan and this vehicle holds four doors. The base for this vehicle is the FF platform.

The Toyota Avalon also has been made available in a couple of trim levels which includes the Toyota Avalon XL, the Touring, the XLS, and the Limited. If you would like to purchase the Toyota Avalon XL, you must have $25,776 to own one. The Touring costs $29,025. The XLS costs $31,225 and the Limited comes with a price tag of $33,965. The main competitors of this sedan in the current automobile market are the Buick Lucerne, the Ford Crown Victoria, the Hyundai Azera, and the Nissan Maxima.

The given color choices for the Toyota Avalon’s exterior include Blizzard Pearl, Titanium Metallic, Phantom Gray Pearl, Desert Sand Mica, Cassis Pearl, Silver Pine Mica, Blue Mirage Metallic, Indigo Ink Pearl, and Black. As per the seats, one could choose from Ivory, Light Gray, Graphite, and Dark Charcoal and the choices for the materials for the seats are leather and fabric.

The United States and Australia are the two locations where production of the Toyota Avalon takes place. The FF platform that this sedan uses is actually the same one that is used by the Toyota Camry. The Toyota Avalon has been made available as a front wheel drive vehicle. Going back to the history of this vehicle, it has been said that there has been three generations already of Toyota Avalons. The first two generations were actually competition of the Chrysler Concorde, the Buick Regal, the Mercury Sable, the Nissan Maxima, the Mazda Millenia, and the Mitsubishi Diamante.
