Many people say America cannot survive without illegal immigration labor. This simply is not so. Sure we can, just like we survived fine when slavery ended and after the industrial revolution labor strikes. Eli Whitney proved it could be done without slave labor and robotics can prove we do not need to economically enslave a class of non-citizens or illegal aliens to get all the work done to insure our civilization runs smoothly.
It is for this reason that I propose greater efforts in robotics so US Businesses do not exploit illegal immigrant labor, thus no reason for them to be here. There are no jobs for them to do. Eli Whitney indeed, interesting parallels are there not? Robotics has come a long way in the last decade and the next decade will be truly spectacular. We already have self-mowing lawnmowers and iRobot’s in-house automatic vacuums and much more to come you will see.
Exploiting of lower class or a non-class of people is a problematic situation for any nation. But on the other hand illegal entry and breaking of US law is even worse and well it just cannot be permitted either. So, we need to stop this now? I just do not see the justification anymore of illegal immigration to be allowed to occur while we look the other way, as the costs are too great and it prevents a set of unfavorable potential eventualities to our economic and on-going future as a nation. Consider this in 2006.
