Snakes Help In Primate Evolution

Are you one of those evolution theory supporters? Then I feel you would have more points to argue after you complete this article. I happened to stumble upon this piece of news which helped me to delve a bit farther into creation theory. May you are not the one who believes in the Almighty God creating everything? But I do still am interested in scientific answers. Let’s come to the point. My source tells me that monkeys, apes and humans became better evolved after their ability to spot snakes in their surrounding. Naturally till today we can find very few guys out there who are not afraid of this vicious animal. You know it’s like people running for their lives once a snake is spotted. It can be from a simple non-poisonous garden snake to a King Cobra.

Every one is afraid of them. However only these three species have the exclusive brains to spot them and save their lives. Others except a few cunning animals no one can fox a snake entirely. You know they are always ready to knock someone by their fangs connected to the poison gland underneath.
It’s as if once a snake bites you an instant poison is released in to the blood stream, thereby paralyzing the victim then and there. Not much struggle is required on their part. So it’s quite obvious that snakes even today send chills down the spine. That’s why our studies conducted say that good vision, enlarged brains and grasping hands and feet. Previous studies showed this happened for good adaptation to the surrounding that means monkeys evolved to jump well from one tree to other without actually losing the grasping on them.
Prof. Lyme Isabell, professor of Anthropology at UC Davis found out that it’s a different case altogether. She says fossils were found of snakes having large mouths big enough to eat mammals. To add to her point she found that the snakes were the first serious predators found 100 million years back. So well it’s clear these mammals are had to become more cunning leading to the next step in evolution. No one can take away the credit from the snakes. In other words I would conclude that had it not been for the snakes, we would have still lived in a much uncivilised and less intelligent world.
