Stop, Focus and Build an Online Business!

Author: M. Levenhagen

One of the big problems online is those seeking opportunities and success move in packs. They follow each other running from one opportunity to another never fully learning or developing any one thing!

So many fail or linger for months or even years because they never settled on their path. They never make a decision to dominate one market or on one way of approaching their marketing. All they do is try something for a while and after a few weeks or months give up based on results that fall short of their expectations.

So many fail or linger for months or even years because they never settled on their path. They never make a decision to dominate one market or on one way of approaching their marketing. All they do is try something for a while and after a few weeks or months give up based on results that fall short of their expectations.

This is not the way to find success online! But I know how hard it is in the beginning to focus. The biggest problem is there are gurus and experts online that are throwing out a continuous stream of the “Next Big Money Makers” for you to buy in to. I was the same way the first year or two online. I was going from one thing to another trying to find the opportunity that would make me an overnight success.

Do you know when I finally started making money online? When I stopped, focused and started building a business. I stopped looking at the internet only as a way to make money, but a way to build a business like any other business you might build offline.

As soon as I started thinking in terms of a business, I was focused more on being an entrepreneur. I started thinking about a business plan, customer service, and creating quality products and services. I started to have pride in what I did online.

I created a mission statement and a clear vision as to where I was going. What that did for me was it stopped my head turning and looking every time a new hyped up opportunity came along. Instead of following the herd, I was working on something of my own that will still be here when all the other opportunities are gone.

I stopped buying things unless they had a direct relationship to what I was doing. All the things I acted on or created had a defined purpose to them.

This doesn’t mean I don’t use the latest techniques and marketing strategies. It does mean that everything I do is for one specific purpose.

If you need help getting past all the hype out there, finding your focus and being provided a road map to help you step by step build your online business, you can find help and guidance through a site like the "Web Profit School".

Member sites like this contain 100s of marketers and online business owners working together to build their internet businesses. You will find business and marketing coaches on hand to help you find and develop a product or service, build your websites, plan your marketing strategies and take the right actions to find profits.

You don’t have to do it alone, but you do need to stop following the crowd, place your feet firmly on the ground and start building something that has a solid foundation. Create a business that has the makings to provide you a real income.

I know from experience that focusing your time, energy and money will quicken your path to success!
