Joint Strike is a classic top-down scrolling re-mastered, and let loose on Xbox Arcade. There aren’t any real cheats for Joint Strike, but here at xboxcheatcodes.com that isn’t good enough. Here are some strategies to help you get through the onslaught from the forces of evil. Secret Plane: The Black and Red Shinden After beating the game on Wing King difficulty setting, go to Shinden in the plane selection screen and select it by pressing "Y" to use a black and red version of the Shinden with maxed out power. Strategies to keep in mind - The only difference between difficulties is your starting number of lives. - Penguin: 9 lives - Slick Sleeve: 5 lives - Dragon Fly: 3 lives - Wing King: 1 live - Use the second plane in the plane selection, this is primarily for its health and power. - Red plans drop items when destroyed. If the red planes appear in a group, you must destroy the entire group to make the item drop. Most of time these will be extra lives. - - Use the Laser. This is hands-down the best weapon in the game. It hits all enemies in a vertical line simultaneously and does tremendous damage against bosses. Don't bother with the other weapons unless you want an increased challenge. - - Try and get on top of bosses to get the x16 multiplier if you know they're almost dead. - - Try and memorize the layout of levels and get up on enemies to get x16, too. The big gray planes that drop the air mines tend to wait a while to start attacking. Immediately get right up on them and go for the x16. How to kill Poseidon - On Poseidon, try and pick up as many bombs as you can. You're probably going to die once on him, but it's OK. Don't leave any bombs remaining! If you're about to die let 'em all go. - - When you get to the final section of Poseidon, use your bombs to kill all the little turrets around the big one. - - SIT ON TOP OF POSEIDON. He cannot hit you! If you sit right where that little thing spews out all of the purple bullets it won't hit you at all! - - On the next boss you're probably going to lose a life. He basically has every kind of weapon -- especially those bullets that spew every direction. Try to only lose one life, though. - - The final boss is pretty easy. Try not to die leading up to him. It's good to have at least 3 lives (including the one you're currently on) because you'll get very frustrated and probably lose otherwise. - - Just sit on top of him at the front of the middle section. You'll be safe for quite a while if I remember correctly. Just keep spamming him with weapons. Achievements for Joint Strike Unlockable How to Unlock Lightning Rod (6) Complete the game with the Lightning. Mosquito Wing (7) Complete the game with the Mosquito. Shinden Striker (7) Complete the game with the Shinden. Wingman (15) Complete 3 levels of the game while playing Co-Op. Concerted Combat (10) Destroy 30 enemies using a Joint Strike. Sharpshooter (10) Get a 90% or better accuracy rating. Blitz (10) Complete the game on the Wing King difficulty setting. Fangs Out (10) Defeat all of the bosses with an A rating in one play-through. Padlocked (25) Defeat all of the bosses with an S rating in one play-through. Tiger (30) Collect 30 medals. Shooter (30) Complete the game with over 200,000 points. Combat Ace (40) Complete the game with over 2,000,000 points. With these hints and strategies at your disposal you will be able to take down the forces that threaten the world as you know it.
