Recent social and economic changes have made a work from home Internet business more practical than before. Change is the dynamic at the bottom of this revolution.
Operating a work from home business has now become even more practical. It always was practical on a number of levels, but the work from home passion will soon reach a fever pitch. Like so many social and economic reactions, change is the dynamic at the bottom of this revolution.
Most changes over the last 25 years have been good. But, some have been harmful. The factors that have caused many families to disconnect are an example of harmful changes.
Twenty-five years ago, the promise included fewer hours in the work week. Technology would make work easier. More leisure time was predicted. Then, wages fell and the workplace productivity demands rose. The work week was expanding for many and leisure time was diminished.
The very fabric of family structure began to feel the pinch. Technology had struck a blow.
At the same time, escalating costs of living led to a need for greater household incomes for families. It became necessary for both parents to work, sometimes even taking on second jobs to make ends meet.
The disconnect between parents and children became a chasm in many cases. Supervision and subsequent discipline became nearly non-existent. Children were simply not tethered.
In more recent years, a number of families turned to a work from home Internet business, often with the mother staying at home to oversee the new effort of getting things under control.
For the successful, the solution to the problems glared back at them. The family offspring was now adequately supervised and under repair. A stream of new household income was helping to put the family back on their feet.
More are fast approaching that decision. Workers have seen their benefits package shrinking. Family after family is yielding to the financial pressures of higher fuel costs - destined to double within a year, by some estimates.
But, gasoline requirements for the roundtrip drive to and from work is only the tip of the iceberg. Transportation costs, the cost of delivering goods to the neighborhood stores, could send inflation into double digits. And, in some areas, anger is out of control, making road rage a daily dilemma. Higher fuel costs are only making this phenomenon worse.
Parents concerned about changes taking place within their family should look into a home-based business as a way out of the quagmire. To make it unique, positive and a learning experience for both the parents and the children, everybody - yes, even the children - should be involved in the planning, the development and the daily operation of a new family ecommerce endeavor.
Work from home has just become more practical.
